About the Role:
We are seeking a Sales Analyst based in our Los Angeles office who will play a critical role in driving business insights and supporting strategic decision-making across sales, marketing, and supply chain. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at juggling multiple projects while collaborating cross-functionally with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Sales Reporting & Forecasting
- Consolidate retail sales data across all brands, by SKU and channel, to generate weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Develop SKU-level retail sales forecasts by analyzing historical performance, channel trends, and promotional plans.
- Track product launches and benchmark performance against internal forecasts and previous launches.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent retailer out-of-stocks and avoid missed sales opportunities.
Sell-In Reporting & Forecasting
- Aggregate and analyze sell-in data to create detailed reports that align with retailer and internal planning needs.
- Build accurate sell-in forecasts, by SKU, by retailer, in collaboration with sales and brand teams to inform Supply Chain demand planning.
- Identify gaps between sell-in and retail performance to provide actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
Marketing Impact Analysis
- Measure retail sales lift and ROI for marketing initiatives such as paid media, influencer campaigns, sampling, and GWPs (Gifts with Purchase).
- Partner with the marketing team to track and evaluate the sales performance of campaigns by channel.
- Analyze weekly store sales to optimize the field sales team productivity and sell-through.
Program Management
- Support the General Manager on strategic projects, including business development, process improvements, and new channel expansions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of high-priority initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for ad hoc analyses and reporting needs across sales, marketing, and supply chain.
- Own internal project plans related to retailer activations and timelines with Korea.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales reporting, forecasting, or analytics roles, preferably within the beauty, consumer goods, or retail sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to consolidate and analyze large datasets to drive insights and recommendations.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
