Role Overview:
We're looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Founding Account Executive to join our core team and drive our go-to-market strategy from the ground up. As one of our first business hires, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how we engage with customers, build relationships, and drive revenue growth. This is a rare opportunity to define the sales function at a seed-stage startup, with immense room for growth as we scale. This role will work closely with our CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Acquisition: Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating and closing deals.
- Market Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to establish Terial as the go-to solution for commercial contractors.
- Customer-Centric Selling: Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and positioning Terial’s value effectively.
- Pipeline Development: Collaborate with the team to create and refine outbound and inbound lead generation strategies.
- Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer, providing critical feedback to influence product development and roadmap decisions.
- Team Building: Lay the groundwork for scaling the sales team, including designing sales processes and mentoring future hires.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
- Experience selling to SMB or mid-market customers; familiarity with construction and proptech is a strong plus but not required.
- An entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable navigating ambiguity and wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- A data-driven approach to sales, with proficiency in CRM tools and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel (upwards of 20% of the time) to conferences, seminars and in-person events with prospects.
- Passion for learning and excitement about building solutions for an industry ready for transformation.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Generous equity compensation, giving you a stake in our shared success.
