Job Overview
The Account Executive will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company's personal care product lines (spa, beauty tools, nail tools, etc.) by securing new accounts with major retail partners, including off-price, drugstores, big-box retailers, and club stores. This role requires a results-oriented sales professional with a strong network in the retail industry and a proven track record of building long-term relationships with key buyers and decision-makers. The Account Executive will play a pivotal role in expanding the company's footprint in the personal care category, ensuring sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Business Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow personal care product sales in off-price, drugstores, big-box retailers, and club stores.
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with major retail chains (e.g., Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Target, Costco, Sam's Club, etc.).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail buyers, category managers, and decision-makers to ensure product placement and growth.
- Research and understand the competitive landscape, customer needs, and market trends to tailor sales pitches and maximize opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product proposals to potential clients.
Account Management
- Oversee and manage existing retail accounts, ensuring satisfaction and maximizing revenue growth within those channels.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all client inquiries, ensuring seamless communication and resolving any issues that arise.
- Monitor account performance and work with retailers to optimize product assortment, promotional activities, and in-store execution to drive sales.
- Ensure that personal care products are well-positioned within retail stores, both physically and within digital platforms, where applicable.
- Enter POs and other administrative tasks
Sales Reporting & Forecasting
- Track sales performance against established goals and provide regular reports to upper management.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts based on retailer feedback, market trends, and historical data.
- Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
Market & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer demands.
- Use insights gained to inform sales strategies and identify opportunities to differentiate the company's personal care products from competitors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on selling consumer goods (preferably in the personal care category).
- Proven track record of success in securing and managing large retail accounts, including drugstores, big-box retailers, and club stores.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to present and sell to all levels of an organization.
- Experience working with product development, marketing, and supply chain teams to drive growth.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet aggressive sales targets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
Salary: $90k - $110k plus bonus
