Johnstone Supply is seeking a results-driven HVAC Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with residential and light commercial customers, promoting HVAC products and services, and generating new business. The ideal candidate will have sales experience, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Outside Sales Representative include, but are not limited to:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned territory
- Conduct site visits, assess customer needs, and provide tailored HVAC solutions
- Present and sell HVAC products and services to potential clients
- Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and contracts
- Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements with the clients to close sales deals
- Collaborate with internal departments, to ensure seamless project execution
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, products, and competitors' offerings
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand professional network and identify business opportunities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
- Works with customers to plan and forecast sales
- Develops a trusted business advisor relationship with customers
Technical Assistance
- Assist customers with technical questions or issues related to HVAC products
- Refer complex technical inquiries to TSA
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends using CRM software
- Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and phone/email correspondence

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computers and different software programs
- Must be able to bend, stand reach, pull, lift, and carry items up to 75 pounds
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Consistently work to promote company growth
- Maintain a valid driver’s license
Preferred
- 2 + years of experience in B2B sales
- Proficiency in CRM software
- Bilingual in Portuguese, Spanish, or Haitian Creole is a plus
- HVAC industry experience
Desired
- Eclipse software experience
