We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Manager to join our team and take ownership of driving growth within our Emerging Growth accounts (investment firms, investment banks, and corporations). You will be the Commercial Lead of Grata’s Emerging Growth segment, responsible for renewals and new business within the segment. This role will involve strategic account planning, upselling and cross-selling, and new business sales.
Grata is a hybrid company, which means our employees work from our NYC office (near Bryant Park) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
At Grata, we will expect you to:
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies, aiming to grow your total book by 5% annually. This will involve:
- Creating and executing on a business plan to bring in new revenue, as well as drive successful renewals
- Maintain an accurate forecast over your territory, to understand risk, mitigate churn, and accurately predict renewal outcomes.
- Lead commercial negotiations in your territory for renewals, upsells, and new contracts, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and Grata.
- Build lasting relationships with decision makers leveraging product, customer and market knowledge to tailor regular interactions (in person, video call, email and phone) to each contact
- Partner with a Customer Success Associate on your team who will lead onboarding and engagement of the accounts within Emerging Growth, mutually ensure the success of customers within this segment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders. As the voice of your customers provide regular and productive feedback to cross-functional Grata teams (such as product, engineering, and marketing) to enable continuous improvement of our platform
- Consistently exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets within your territory
- Create and leverage channel partnerships to drive our success with emerging investment managers
What we are looking for:
- You have 3-4 years of experience in sales and account management roles, with demonstrable success achieving growth targets for customers and prospects.
- Commercially oriented mindset with emphasis on upsell, cross sell, renewals and new logo adds through negotiation of mutually beneficial contracts
- Ability to work in a feedback driven environment, share ideas, seek opportunities for improvement and contribute to the growth of others
- Successful candidates will be: innovative, persuasive, creative and have a genuine curiosity in their clients’ business. They will be goal and results-oriented, optimistic and smart, with a value added mindset, a proactive approach to the role and the ability to adapt to change and of course, nice
- Well-organized, with a high attention to detail, you are a resourceful problem solver and can manage multiple simultaneous work streams
- Self-starter, who can develop strategies, establish and organize daily activities to execute those strategies working as a fully independent contributor

Grata is committed to providing competitive cash compensation and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in New York City, the estimated total compensation for this role is $120,000-$160,000 per year.
