POSITION SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate for this position will be located in the Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC or Nashville, TN areas.
The East Division is comprised of the following areas: MI, IN, OH, KY, TN, MS, AL, FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, WV, DC, MD, PA, DE, NJ, NY, CT, VT, MA, RI, NH, PR & ME
Reporting to the Senior Director of Franchise and Distributor Sales, the Franchise Sales Operations Manager (FSOM) acts as the subject matter expert on Dippin’ Dots and Doc Popcorn franchise business opportunities and execution as it relates to store operations, distribution, fairs and festivals, mobile sales, catering, and marketing. The Franchise Sales Operations Manager is a key trainer of both classroom & field material for franchisees and is knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of business format franchising. The Franchise Sales Operations Manager will oversee and grow the Dippin’ Dots and Doc Popcorn franchisee businesses and help onboard new prospects as identified.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Acts as the primary liaison with the Territory Sales Managers (TSMs).
- Works directly on operations at the franchise/distributor level covering fixed location based, event based, fair and festival based, and distribution-based business models.
- Works directly with the “non-store/kiosk” and “non-fair/festival” based franchisee to optimize business infrastructure & operations so the franchisee can execute on sales leads generated by and with the TSMs.
- Works directly with the “store/kiosk” based franchisee to optimize all areas of their business infrastructure & operations so the franchisee can sustainably grow same-store sales & execute on expansion opportunities.
- Works directly with the “fair/festival” based franchisee to optimize business infrastructure & operations so the franchisee can sustainably grow same fair/festival sales & execute on expansion opportunities.
- Works directly with their franchisees to build the franchise business yearly sales goals and business plans.
- Determines, along with the Senior Director of Franchise and Distributor Sales, if letters of default will be drafted by the VP of Administration, based on site evaluations and what would constitute appropriate action to clear those defaults.
- Works with Franchisees and TSMs on local marketing plans to help increase sales.
- Communicates appropriately and often with the TSMs in their district regarding franchisee business and franchisee territory development.
- Coordinates all Grand Openings for both Dippin’ Dots and Doc Popcorn and attends the Grand Openings. Includes the Grand Opening plans, marketing, and social media, working in conjunction with the marketing department.
- Works with the marketing department on menu boards, special marketing projects, and soft/Grand Opening for social media.
- Handles key accounts on a national basis as appropriate.
- Works with Franchisees on new store designs and retrofits.
- Oversees and organizes all Franchise Training in Paducah, KY or other appropriate locations as needed.
- Coordinates all new Franchise soft openings and training on site. Works with all Franchisees on their equipment/product orders, marketing, and onsite training.
- Oversees the training of all new members of the DD Franchising team and maintains a working knowledge of each role in the organization.
- Maintains and updates the Operations Manuals for all franchised brands.
- Identifies potential “emerging chains”, creating a program tailored to their specific needs putting into motion a distribution plan/piece to bring in senior team to support and advance.
- Manages new programs to ensure growth in the business, handling any issues, and ensuring the chain is content with the program.
- Organizes and supports the preparations in all areas for the franchising Annual Conference.
- Manages all aspects of the Service Provider Program including maintenance of the “Request to Pursue” and approval documents.
- Performs other additional tasks, duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor.
- Coordinates all activities pertaining to franchisee onboarding, sale of business, material transfers, performance plans, change of partners, or any other franchise development related processes with the Franchise Development Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
Required Experience:
- 2-3 years' experience in franchise sales preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel will be required to perform the role. The amount of travel will depend on the opportunities that are being worked at any given time, yet incumbent should expect to have a customer facing time requirement average of 65%.
This role will require the flexibility to work some nights and weekends and some overnight and weekend travel to Trade Shows, Meetings, and other events.
