The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Benefits Account Executive to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Mansfield, MA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains consistent and continuous communication with assigned customers
- Handles and resolves escalated issues by providing creative solutions to customers.
- Liaison between departments to ensure all customers’ accounts are renewed timely and efficiently
- Partner with customers to advise and select appropriate plans and coverages
- Conducts open enrollment meetings for client base and fill in for larger clients (50+) as needed
- Work with sales and marketing to create renewal strategies for existing and new customers
- Completes customer servicing related to new business set up and underwriting
- applications, and account marketing to carriers
- Supports producers in new business activities including upselling and cross-selling
- existing customers
- Maintains current and accurate customer databases files.
- Processes customer’s accounts, including preparing proposals, ordering policies,
- binders, ID cards, certificates, invoicing, premium financing and processing policies.
- Initiates and/or implements new and revised workflow processes, and coordinates
- changes to processes with the training staff
- Acts as a positive role model for team members in terms of work ethic, support for
- agency goals and objectives, focus, results and level of positive energy
- Takes initiative with renewals, customer issues and concerns and proactively provide
- solutions to deliver timely and effective resolutions to customers.
Qualifications:
- Education – High school diploma required; some college level coursework preferred.
- Certification – preferred ACSR, CIC or equivalent professional designation
- Experience – Three to five years of experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexibility and creativity for developing innovative and customized business solutions
- Exceptional relationship development skills, interpersonal and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with Agency Management System experience
- Working knowledge and understanding of group benefits/administration
