Origin Home Services is looking for a Director of Business Development to join our team, as an individual contributor. As our first Business Development team member, you will be responsible for building our pipeline of new business, positioning and selling our service offerings to new and existing clients, and developing our BD tools and processes from the ground up.
This role offers a competitive total compensation package that includes a base salary & incentive package tied to the financial impact of deals closed.
Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
Bonus: $25,000+ bonus incentive, paid quarterly
What You'll Do
- Lead Generation: Develop and implement effective outbound strategies to identify new enterprise construction clients
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients, striving to understand their needs and positioning Origin Home Services’ offerings effectively
- Market Insights: Stay informed of industry trends, prospects’ business activities, and competitor behavior to identify new opportunities
- Revenue Growth: Work collaboratively with leadership to develop new solutions, cross-sell with existing clients, and generate new business for the organization
- Deal Closure: Lead negotiation and contract signing for new deal, closing new business that contributes to the company’s revenue and operating margin targets
Requirements
- 10+ years in Sales or Business Development
- 5+ years in sales within the property management or construction industry
- Willing to travel domestically 25-50% of the time
- Track record of closed deals with measurable financial impact in a relevant industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of data self-sufficiency with proven analytical skills, including the ability to independently collect, analyze, and interpret data sets to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations
- 5+ years experience using and maintaining records in a sales CRM, such as Salesforce or Hubspot
- 5+ years of relevant experience in optimizing and growing supply, working understanding of marketplace dynamics
