What we need:
This position will increase regional cushion sales, market shares and margin dollars to accomplish and establish regional target goals. Reduce operational expenses in cushion delivery while increasing dealer loyalty through improved delivery performance, product quality feedback, and the use of Mohawk Rewards Program. Make Mohawk the supplier of choice for all products in the product line.
What you’ll do:
- Collaboratively develop strategic account plans with the RVP’s and Account Executives, relying on the regional sales team for their expertise by segment. Ensure all internal resources are applied to major opportunities.
- Engage and convert strategic opportunities into active accounts, owning the conversion process throughout the lifecycle. Address client concerns and ensure the resolution of issues in timely manner, with follow-up when appropriate.
- Develop and execute 5 year strategic plan including market share / volume growth, transition and start-up of new manufacturing facility, and capacity utilization through future years.
- Engage pre-qualified prospects and existing customers in order to achieve regional and corporate goals. Look for opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts and opportunity to leverage all Mohawk products
- Assist regional sales team to become stronger strategic business partners and executors. Support the regional sales team at all levels including: Presentations, Sales Strategies, Target Clients, and Links to internal resources.
- Supervise the daily tasks of the cushion coordinator in the ordering and receipt of goods, the assignment of orders, and the scheduling of direct deliveries.
- Coordinate region-wide inventories to reduce over/under stock. Establish warehouse shipment freight policy. Manage Distressed/Damaged inventory at regional warehouses.
- Establish direct ship freight policy, and a mailing program to direct ship dealers.
- Coordinate regional promotions with production planning. Recommend product line changes. Plan the use of promotional dollars for the cushion line. Create promotions when overstock, slow sales, and/or damage cushion warrant.
- Maintain and issue price lists; price major sales accounts as well as special situations.
- Track daily sales bookings and warehouse shipments. Oversee top 25 major cushion sales and develop a direct communication program between Mohawk and those accounts.
- Train new Territory Managers and educate all sales force on product knowledge and operational issues concerning manufacturing and trucking. Participate in sales meetings
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
- 5+ years of job specific work experience with demonstrated professional growth and achievement in an organization of comparable size, business diversity, scope and complexity. Working knowledge of employment and other related human resources laws and regulations required.

- Strong presenttion,oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Mohawk's management, internal, and external business contacts.
- Ability to perform in a nonhierarchical, flat organization and to thrive in a somewhat unstructured “hands-on” environment that demands a consultative approach and solutions that span multiple business areas within the corporation
- Ability and willingness to accept responsibility. Willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions. Persistence and willingness to take calculated risks, to stimulate and to market and sell new ideas within the organization.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $66,000 - $114,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company sponsored benefit programs.
