OVERVIEW:
The Senior Director, Corporate Engagement - Regional Sales (LLA) will serve as a sales leader and people manager within Year Up United’s Corporate Engagement function, which works to secure high quality, work-based experiences for all Year Up United students and to develop partnerships with major corporations nationwide.
Reporting to the Managing Director (LLA), this role will require an experienced and dynamic account development professional to lead a team charged with maintaining and building new relationships with large, local accounts (employer partners who are able to take 5+ Year Up United interns per cycle, focused in one geographical area) to help ensure that all of our students have access to high quality work-based experiences. The Sr. Director, Regional Sales will oversee a team working on KPIs related to acquiring and expanding local partners, presenting to C-suite staff, closing revenue, and handing client relationships over to colleagues who will implement account playbooks.
As Sr. Director, Regional Sales, you will also help drive Year Up United’s innovation agenda outcomes through your team’s work and encourage positioning Grads of Life and YUPRO Placement offerings to your team’s accounts. Additionally, you may have responsibility to serve as executive sponsor for key accounts.

In keeping with Year Up United’s values, the Sr. Director will also have the opportunity to interact with students as coach, group facilitator, and advocate, participating in creating and sustaining a positive educational environment, with trust among students, program managers, and site leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regional Sales Team Leadership
- Manage assigned group of Large Local Account directors covering specific geographies.
- Support direct reports who will be assigned personal portfolios and KPIs related to external activity contributing to internship sales, account renewals or expansions, revenue, cross-sales with Grads of Life or YUPRO, and conversions.
- Regularly attend local networking or industry events to generate new leads for self or colleagues.
- Create a culture of high service, high support, high expectations in work with corporate partners
- Develop and implement annual business plan in coordination with manager and Chief Commercial Officer, including projected budget and revenue forecasts.
- Leverage influence skills to work effectively within team and across departments to build consensus and maintain accountability to targets.
- Ensure collaboration across departments and teams as needed, to ensure that students’ training strategically aligns with corporate partner needs.
- Embody “servant leadership” style to empower strengths of all team members.
- Personally utilize Salesforce.com to maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities and ensure team does, as well.
- Work closely with colleagues in Revenue Operations group to leverage existing processes, analytics, and enablement tools to support outcomes in the field and ensure team does, as well.
Site Team/Learning Community Member
- Serve as a coach/mentor for a small number of current students
- Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience building and managing an array of executive relationships across major accounts; direct sales or sales management experience leading regional teams
- 10+ years of consultative sales experience, requiring strong business acumen and an aggressive, adaptable selling style strongly preferred
- 5+ years of people management experience, including leading by influence
- Successful track record in sales or account management positions
- Excellent networking abilities
- Demonstrated ability to set direction, manage complex processes, and enable high-quality organizational growth
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage the sales pipeline process
- Documented strengths in meaningful relationship building and people management and development
- Desire to work in a fluid dynamic organization, and interest in the nonprofit space
- Ability to lead, willingness to be led, comfort with situational leadership
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required, familiarity with Salesforce.com helpful

Salary Range: $185,000 - $225,000
