Regional Sales Managers play a critical role in the adoption of sustainable and innovative agricultural solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the Freight Farms market in your designated territory, building a strong pipeline of leads, and supporting prospective customers with tailored business solutions. You will represent Freight Farms’ products and services with a deep understanding of the local market potential, constraints, and opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets by driving pipeline activity in your territory.
- Build relationships with potential customers, including entrepreneurs, educational institutions, nonprofits, and agricultural businesses.
- Develop and manage affiliate programs with existing customers to encourage referrals and new business.
- Territory routing, customer targeting, and time management skills are imperative
Customer Education & Solutions
- Provide meaningful business solutions (financial, technical, operational) that address prospective customer needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor, educating prospective customers on Freight Farms’ products and their potential applications.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
Market Development & Analysis
- Conduct thorough market research to understand local zoning regulations, energy costs, major produce distribution players, pricing trends, and grant opportunities.
- Identify key market opportunities and challenges to inform strategic growth initiatives.
- Work closely with current network of Freight Farmers to develop and maximize produce offtake agreements to fuel farm scaling
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, finance, business development, operations, and sales management, to support customer success.
- Represent Freight Farms professionally in all communications, both inside and outside the company.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
- Business acumen and a dedicated, ethical approach to sales operations.
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge of agriculture, vertical farming, or food systems is a plus.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to act as a trusted partner.
- Self-starter who approaches their geography as a business owner and is passionate about food production, health, and a pay-for-performance culture
- Experience using CRM tools
Job Type: Field based remote, Full-time. Up to 50% of travel and overnights to key metroplexes in the region.
