The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Lindwood, MI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process telephone service requests, including but not limited to, policy endorsements, cancellations, billing, and identification card issuance.
- Thoroughly and accurately document agency management system
- Maintain thorough knowledge of company procedures.
- Process all in-coming and out-going mail.
- Review insurance company communications daily.
- Review account renewals and endorsements for accuracy.
- Complete the billing procedure for account transactions.
- Provide assistance to customers reporting claims.
- Identify and offer to customer account rounding and up selling opportunities.
- Provide administrative support as requested by Producers and other staff members.
- Possess technical ability to answer client questions regarding coverage issues and policy forms working in conjunction with Producer and other staff members if necessary.
- Use interpersonal communication skills to engage and develop relationships with Owen Moore Agency clients and carrier underwriters.
- Actively listen and identify client needs or requests/concerns that are related to their Personal Insurance needs.
- Interface with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, and/or electronic mail to respond to inquiries and answer insurance related questions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to clients, customer, employees, and carriers.
Qualifications:
- Two-year college degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Licensed insurance broker or ability and willingness to obtain license within one year of assignment.
- Proven customer service skills
- Excellent phone skills, organizational skills, computer, and keyboarding skills; knowledge of word processing with Microsoft Windows and Office experience
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to self-direct the completion of job duties
- Previous experience using agency management system preferred.
- Able to effectively handle multiple tasks, including using multiple software applications. Strong technical skills including coverage terms & conditions. Critical thinking skills and ability to resolve issues or offer solutions with a high degree of accuracy and focus on customer service and account rounding.
- Tech-savvy with excellent command of all Microsoft programs (Office, Word, and Excel)
