The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Benefits Consultant to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Hunt Valley, MD. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Assists Account Executive's with the analysis of client and prospect employee plan data.
- Functions as a benefits expert regarding client management and with plan design and financials.
- Advises employer groups between 50-400 employees, working primarily with fully insured accounts as well as some self insured and hybrid funding accounts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Employee Benefits preferred
- Ability to analyze data and make appropriate recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to independently organize and perform work activities and to simultaneously handle multiple complex projects
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver presentations to groups of employees
- Strong computer skills, primarily with Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as Benefit Point
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to adjust negotiation style for different situations
- Currently licensed in Life and Health
- CEBS certification a plus
