About the Role:
Gusto is seeking the next generation of sales professional superstars for our Business Development Program. Our program provides the basis and foundation to launch your career into becoming an account executive. Not only will you hone your skills as a business development representative uncovering opportunities with prospects and maximizing opportunities from marketing leads, but will also enable and develop your skills across basic pipeline management, demand generation, sales operations, networking, and technical acumen.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Develop and manage a high volume of prospects to qualify leads through various channels
- Uncover potential opportunities across our Ideal Customer Profile for the sales organization and create personalized and relevant messaging
- Partner closely with various departments to develop and implement outreach strategies for your leads
- Conduct 100+ cold calls with prospective buyers to create next steps including scheduling meetings for account executives for further qualification
Here’s what we're looking for:
- 1-2 years of experience cold calling and prospecting
- Track record of success and over-achievement
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competitive by nature, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and inspiring everyone around you to do great work
- Technically proficient and experienced with web technologies (able to manage multiple alerts/notifications, navigate multiple screens, search for trends/resources/contacts, etc.)
- Closing experience is a plus
Our cash compensation range for this role ranges from $68,000 OTE per year to $72,000 OTE per year in the Denver location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience, and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
