Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth at NotedSource. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies, building and managing high-performing teams, and fostering strong client relationships. Importantly, this role requires expertise in selling to corporate research, market research, or innovation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets, with a focus on corporate research, market research, and innovation sectors
- Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to meet individual and team goals
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company objectives
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities in the research and innovation space
- Manage key client relationships and participate in high-level sales negotiations with research and innovation departments
- Report on sales performance and provide insights to senior management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree is a plus
- 7+ years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Significant experience in corporate research, market research, or innovation sectors, either working within these fields or selling to these teams
- Strong understanding of research methodologies, innovation processes, and the needs of corporate research departments
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to research and innovation professionals
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with senior-level executives in research and innovation roles
