We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in selling technology and educational services through phone, email, and web presentations. You will manage a portfolio of clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities to drive growth and client satisfaction.
As the Sales Account Executive for our TEKS-Based Instruction and STAAR Support solutions, you will focus on providing high-quality print and electronic learning materials to K-12 educators and administrators at both the building and district levels. Your responsibilities will include nurturing relationships with existing partner districts and expanding programs into multi-year commitments.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in K-12 education sales, a proven track record of meeting sales quotas, and a passion for outbound prospecting in a competitive environment. This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates residing in central/southeast Texas region.
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs. Identifies and suggests products and services to meet service needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Collaborates with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with company goals.
- Utilizes CRM tools to track and manage leads, sale activities, and customer interactions.
- Participates in ongoing training and development programs to stay updated with industry trends and enhance sales skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoho One, or related software.
- A willingness to travel up to 30%.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
- Familiarity with Zoho One CRM and Analytics.
- Previous sales experience in the Texas K-12 education market, specifically for supplemental materials and eLearning products.
- Knowledge of K-12 education in the Texas market, including assessment, digital learning resources, and educational technology.
- Knowledge of education policy, K-12 school budgetary processes, the STAAR exam, and experience in K-12 district-level education sales.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, education, or related field, OR equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of sales experience is required.
- At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 or more pounds.
