Position Summary: The Director of Sales - MBWC will work with the Regional Sales Managers – MBWC and the network of Commercial Vehicle Consultants to develop each market and increase commercial market share in top line gross/net profits in dollars and units.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Lead a team of both Regional Sales Managers (RSM), Commercial Vehicle Consultants (CVC), and Commercial Sales Admins (CSA) to develop strategies, to prospect, set appointments, develop proposals, close deals, and deliver vehicles to commercial customers.
- Oversee the development of new business by coordinating with the marketing department, commercial BDC team, commercial leadership and field team members
- Ensure that data being entered into the business system (Sales Force) is accurate/true
- Interact directly with large commercial customers within AOR in support the team efforts
- Build relationships with MBWC management team members, store General Managers, Service Managers, and other team members to facilitate communication and customer service.
- Maintain active engagement in managing commercial vehicle inventory levels for stores throughout the region, ensuring that all company policies regarding vehicle inventory are adhered to. This is including working with the MBW inventory team on a regular & on-going basis.
- Ensure the accuracy of commercial quotes and proposals, assisting, when necessary, on complex applications, and providing strategic insight on solutions and presentations.
- Perform all necessary reporting, as needed.
- Provide feedback, supervision, and discipline to members of the team as required to ensure a high level of performance.
- Maintain personal sales goals and pursue/achieve individual budget, as applicable.
- Travel 20-30% to support sales and management activities in the field.
- Adhere to, promote, and train direct reports on all company policies and procedures, OSHA and other safety regulations, and all state mandated regulations.

Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to plan, direct and control the activities of others.
- Deal with all types of people.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience is required.
- Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision is required.
- Candidates must successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Able to function capably in an office environment using standard equipment (telephones, fax machines, computers, copiers, etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Must be able to complete office-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
