About the role:
As a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Aviatrix, you will play a crucial role in fostering our customers' innovative and transformative endeavors on their cloud networking journey. This position is not sales-oriented; instead, it gives you the opportunity to be the primary technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' for organizations spanning start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Your responsibilities include collaborating closely with customers to understand their network architecture, providing expert guidance on industry best practices, and delivering operational excellence by enhancing network efficiency, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Stability: Provide best practice guidance to customers implementing critical solutions to meet performance, resilience, and business requirements.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews and present periodic evaluations of operational performance to customers, including service disruptions, metrics, and prelaunch planning.
- Customer Advocacy: Champion and advocate for customer requirements within Aviatrix by participating in customer meetings and providing technical guidance and support, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Strategic Expertise: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, offering guidance on the entire journey of Aviatrix products and the customer's architecture. Support includes addressing strategy-related queries, aiding in project and launch planning, and resolving operational challenges.
- Platform Health and Operational Rigor: Help ensure customer health on Aviatrix by guiding proactive and reactive support during critical moments, and support in transforming and modernizing IT operations and cloud operating models using Aviatrix effectively.
Requirements:
- 4+ years in a technical account management position
- Strong background in technical cloud consulting and/or customer support preferably with Cloud Service Providers and/or SaaS vendors.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking and security.
- Proficiency in network configuration, performance optimization, and health analysis, with knowledge of network automation tools like Terraform.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change management processes, execute upgrade plans, and conduct feature testing in development environments.
- Excellent communication skills, active listening, and clear articulation of technical concepts.
- Strong relationship-building skills to manage long-term client relationships effectively.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Aviatrix products and solutions.
- Experience providing technical workshops and developing training materials.
- Previous experience as a Technical Account Manager or similar role in the tech industry.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to create detailed documentation and custom runbooks for network management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously and effectively prioritize.
- Experience in conflict resolution and negotiation to address customer concerns efficiently.
US Pay RangeThe US annual national base salary range for this full-time position is $95,300.00 - $113,600.00 (Dallas,TX) or $98,200 - $125,000 (Bay Area, CA) + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. [Certain roles are eligible to earn sales commission, depending on the terms of the applicable plan.] The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
