About the Role
Mainshares is seeking to hire an Investor Growth Specialist to support financing the next generation of American owner-operators. As an Investor Growth Specialist, you will focus on generating and nurturing investor growth, targeting various personas, including high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and family offices.
This role requires extensive cold calling, cold emailing, and direct outreach. We’re seeking a motivated individual who thrives on winning and is eager to contribute to the future of American business ownership.
You’ll collaborate with Mainshares' engineering, product, operations, and legal teams to ensure a seamless user experience. We welcome your ideas! As an early member of the sales team, your feedback will be critical to our company’s positioning and go-to-market motion.
Responsibilities
- Build a robust pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, and direct outreach while working strategically with the Head of Capital Markets.
- Actively engage with new and existing leads through creative follow-ups to generate interest and enthusiasm for Mainshares.
- Develop expertise in Mainshares' diverse products and services.
- Provide timely and accurate front-line support for all prospective investors interested in Mainshares.
- Engage with prospective customers in real time via phone or Zoom.
Requirements
- Experience creating and executing outbound sequencing, including cold calls and emails.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) – comfortable connecting with an auto shop owner over a beer or explaining our investing platform to a sophisticated investor.
- Enough familiarity with finance or accounting to hold meaningful conversations with potential customers.
- A strong curiosity to learn about SMB acquisitions, paired with a proven track record as a self-starter.
- Experience working in a high-volume customer-facing role, with the ability to manage your time and maintain a high attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have
- A proven track record of success in a lead generation role is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with the small business segment.
- A degree in Finance or Accounting.
