We are seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Business Development Representative to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of Kinsley’s onsite energy generation solutions by initially engaging clients through consulting services.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, helping commercial and industrial (C&I) customers facing complex energy challenges—such as high energy costs, grid reliability concerns, and sustainability goals—identify opportunities for tailored energy solutions. The primary objective is to initiate relationships and sell consulting services that lead to the design and implementation of advanced onsite energy generation projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage commercial and industrial (C&I) energy users facing operational challenges such as rising energy costs, grid instability, carbon reduction requirements, or efficiency demands.
- Employ consultative selling techniques to understand client pain points, uncover opportunities, and provide customized recommendations for onsite energy generation solutions.
- Focus on selling Kinsley’s consulting services as the critical first step in evaluating feasibility and developing tailored energy strategies for clients.
- Build and nurture partnerships with key decision-makers in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, education, data centers, hospitality, and other energy-intensive sectors.
- Collaborate with Kinsley’s technical teams to create and present feasibility studies, showcasing the potential for cost savings, operational reliability, and environmental impact improvements.
- Act as a strategic partner to customers, helping them navigate energy challenges while delivering long-term value through Kinsley’s portfolio of combined heat and power (CHP), battery energy storage, and microgrid systems.
- Stay abreast of energy market trends, policy developments, and sustainability initiatives to provide informed guidance to prospective clients.
- Represent Kinsley Energy Systems at industry forums, trade shows, and other networking events to drive awareness and build a robust pipeline of potential projects.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a solid understanding of the industry.
- Minimum of five years of experience in selling energy storage solutions or related sustainable energy products.
- Strong desire to build relationships and establish long-term partnerships with customers.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, CRM databases, and sales management tools for effective pipeline tracking and customer relationship management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey the benefits of energy storage systems and their sustainability impact.
