About Etched
Etched is building AI chips that are hard-coded for individual model architectures. Our first product (Sohu) only supports transformers, but has an order of magnitude more throughput and lower latency than a B200. With Etched ASICs, you can build products that would be impossible with GPUs, like real-time video generation models and extremely deep & parallel chain-of-thought reasoning agents.
Job Summary
As the Growth Lead, you will own the end-to-end growth engine for Etched’s brand and go-to-market strategy. You'll craft and refine our narrative, ensuring it resonates with the right audiences across AI, enterprise, and developer communities. This role requires a unique blend of strategic creativity, operational excellence, and leadership in the competitive AI hardware landscape. You will define how we position ourselves in the market, engage with key stakeholders, and drive measurable results through high-impact marketing and growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Messaging & Campaigns: Develop and refine messaging that communicates our technical value proposition in a compelling, accessible way. Ensure consistency across all channels, from website copy to sales enablement materials, while avoiding unnecessary jargon.
- Product Launch Execution: Lead end-to-end product launch strategies, from market research and positioning to execution and performance tracking. Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and external partners to ensure seamless rollouts that drive awareness and adoption.
- Vertical-Specific Marketing: Identify key industry verticals and tailor targeted campaigns that speak directly to their unique pain points and opportunities. Develop content, case studies, and outreach strategies that drive credibility and engagement in these markets.
- Event Strategy: Define and execute Etched’s presence at major industry events and developer conferences. Drive strategic sponsorships, speaking engagements, and networking initiatives to maximize brand visibility and lead generation.
- Digital Channel Optimization: Oversee and optimize digital marketing efforts, including SEO, content marketing, paid advertising, and social media. Implement data-driven strategies to increase reach, engagement, and conversion across all digital platforms.
- Ecosystem Building: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the AI, enterprise, and developer communities. Develop partnerships, influencer collaborations, and community engagement programs to amplify Etched’s presence in the market.

How we’re different
Etched believes in the Bitter Lesson. We think most of the progress in the AI field has come from using more FLOPs to train and run models, and the best way to get more FLOPs is to build model-specific hardware. Larger and larger training runs encourage companies to consolidate around fewer model architectures, which creates a market for single-model ASICs.
We are a fully in-person team in West San Jose, and greatly value engineering skills. We do not have boundaries between engineering and research, and we expect all of our technical staff to contribute to both as needed.
