About the role
To help fuel our rapid growth, we’re seeking a highly strategic BDR who is obsessed with getting Teleskope into the hands of data and security leaders. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be on the front lines of our sales strategy—reaching out to potential customers, qualifying leads, and feeding the growth engine of Teleskope.
To succeed in this role, you have to be thoughtful, an exceptional communicator and be willing to face and overcome rejection. What you’ll do
- Execute a high-volume outbound strategy to generate new business opportunities
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound qualification and outbound outreach
- Craft highly thoughtful, tailored outreach messaging to engage cold prospects
- Handle objections, qualify leads, and schedule meetings for the sales team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM of all interactions with prospects
- Consistently hit or exceed weekly/monthly KPIs related to outbound activities
- Constantly learn as you go, iterating on processes, tactics, and messaging to get a little bit better each week
What you bring
- 1-3 years working in investment banking, consulting, sales development or SaaS Sales
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent listening skills and comfort talking to a wide range of professionals including senior executives
- Deep interest in data, technology and the risks and challenges they present to organizations
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to track, measure, and report on the sales funnel and your own experiments

NOTE: This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that you work out of our NYC-based office 3+ days per week.
