This remote position can be anywhere within the USA. We are looking for a VP of Sports Venues Sales to support this role and become the face of Jones Sports.
The ideal candidate will be well connected and selling to the upper levels of all sports leagues, developers and designers from coast to coast.
Summary:
Jones Sign’s future is bright with prime-time events in all major sports leagues. As a VP of Sales – Sports Venues, your goal is to actively market our capabilities to owners, architectural firms and contractors throughout the U.S. supporting major sports venue developments, whether these are rebrands, renovations or new construction. Jones Sign is primed to deliver.
Your focus is to cultivate relationships with decision-makers within the sports community and drive project opportunities for our Jones Sign team to bid on. These projects are focused on stadium signage, lighting, digital scoreboard system as well as architectural elements and facade.
Our list of projects grows year after year with some of the most historic venues such as the Daytona Motor Speedway, Lambeau Field, Dodgers Stadium, Allegiant Stadium and so many more to list.

Duties and Expectations:
- Become the face of Jones Sports in the sports venue industry.
- Establish relationships with professionals associated with the construction of sports venues.
- Architects/Designers
- General Contractors
- Owners
- Identify and track sports venue development opportunities across North America
- New construction, renovations, or rebranding (naming rights).
- Stadiums, arenas, racetracks, coliseum, sports-focused entertainment centers, etc.
- Track sports venues development at all levels:
- Professional
- Minor Leagues
- Collegiate
- Position Jones Sign as the primary service provider for:
- Signage
- Lighting features
- Scoreboards/Digital Signage
- Architectural elements
- Responsible for identifying and developing which opportunities are appropriate for Jones Sign to work and bid on.
- Support and lead the Jones Sign Sports Division vision among the team and the organization.
- Set team yearly sales goals.
- Direct marketing efforts for Jones Sports in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
- Find solutions to client concerns.
- Design
- Engineering
- Material specifications
- Bridge gap between sales, project management, and customer.
- Work alongside our senior and experienced team members.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or above in a related field - marketing, business development, construction management, architectural or structural design
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Or 5+ years documented experience in the sports venue industry.
- 5+ years of sales experience with demonstrated success in major projects; preferably sports related projects.
- Highly competitive nature with high level of interest and understanding of sports.
- Capable of working outside of the non-traditional work hours, as is common in sales.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization; written and orally.
- Proven and stable sales work history.
- Signage, scoreboard, or architectural element selling experience highly desirable.
- Robust ability to analyze options and problem solve the unexpected
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents required; mechanical aptitude is desired.
