The Sales Account Executive is responsible for account management and business development activities. The primary focus of this role is to drive sales by creating strategic proposals, developing innovative ideas, and delivering effective solutions to help clients achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and validate new sales opportunities with current and prospective customers. It is essential to have a deep familiarity and knowledge of client accounts.
- Analyze demographics, past purchases, SKU performance, trends, opportunities, and the client's business goals to determine customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, design, and merchandising, to achieve sales objectives.
- Provide inventory opportunities that drive sales and optimize customer satisfaction.
- Consult with customers on effective merchandising strategies, promotions, and marketplace trends.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance, address concerns, and identify growth opportunities.
- Assist customers with inquiries and requests, coordinating with the customer service department when necessary. Escalate significant service issues to sales management for proactive resolution.
- Generate timely and accurate sales reports.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of sales experience with a proven track record of consistently exceeding sales goals, preferably in the retail sector.
- Experience in the following: Off Price, Clubs, and/or specialty stores is a must.
- Experience in Home DΓ©cor and managing designated accounts is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
