👀 What We Are Looking For:
We're seeking a visionary Sales Leader to join Valley as our Founding Account Executive. This pivotal role goes beyond traditional sales responsibilities, requiring a dynamic individual who can not only drive revenue but also architect and refine our entire sales motion. As we transition from founder-led sales to a scalable enterprise model, you'll be the cornerstone of our go-to-market strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Execution (50% of role):
- Manage and close SMB accounts, including early-stage startups, marketing companies, and professional service firms
- Conduct demo calls and maintain a high close rate (25%+)
- Execute outbound campaigns to refine our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Test and validate pricing models to increase Average Contract Value (ACV)
Sales Process Architecture (50% of role):
- Design, implement, and continuously improve our sales process from introduction to close
- Set up and own critical sales infrastructure (CRM, outbound tooling, documentation)
- Develop systems and playbooks for future sales hires
- Create and refine strategies for moving upmarket to mid-sized enterprises
- Establish feedback loops with product and engineering teams to influence the roadmap
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses 3+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including 2+ years in a closing role ($3k-250k deal sizes)
- Demonstrates a consistent track record of overachievement (100%+ attainment, Presidents Club, etc.)
- Brings experience from hyper-growth startups (Seed or Series A exposure is a plus)

Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative customer acquisition strategies
- Own communication of customer requests to Customer Experience and Engineering teams
- Participate actively in product roadmap discussions
- Test and validate different follow-up cadences
- Hire, train, and coach future SDRs
- Manage the handoff process to Customer Success
- Explore and implement marketing and branding initiatives to drive inbound leads
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Valley's sales organization. You'll work closely with the CEO to refine our pitch, messaging, and overall go-to-market strategy. As we scale, you'll transition from SMB focus to leading our enterprise sales efforts, targeting $4k/mo to $20k/mo contracts.
