As Matter’s first Account Executive, your role will focus on engaging with both inbound and outbound prospects. About 70% of your time will be spent on inbound leads, helping them understand the value of Matter, while 30% will be spent on outbound efforts to drive new business opportunities. You will be Matter’s first point of contact, playing a key role in building the Matter brand and creating a great first impression.
This is a unique opportunity to be Matter’s first sales hire, providing immense growth potential.
This role is remote-first, working on EST or CST business hours.
How you'll contribute:
- Provide a great experience for Matter’s prospective and current customers.
- Engage with prospective accounts and existing customers via email, phone, and Zoom.
- Manage account opportunities through a CRM like Hubspot or ActiveCampaign.
- Work closely with Matter’s Head of Growth to optimize the sales pipeline, create new sales collateral, and close deals.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of our product and its value to customers.
- Demonstrate an ability to meet or exceed sales targets through a mix of 70% inbound lead engagement and 30% outbound lead prospecting.
- Work with other functions to improve business processes and cross-departmental collaboration.
A little about you:
- 1-4+ years of sales experience, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- A passion for understanding unique business needs and tailoring effective Matter solutions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- A strategic mindset coupled with a data-driven approach to sales.
- You excel in a remote-first, fast-paced, results-oriented environment and have experience working with EST or CST time zones.
- Highly motivated and self-driven with a strong sense of accountability.
- Collaborative and coachable, eager to grow in the role.
What we’ll offer

- For this role, the estimated on-target earning range is between $160,000 - $180,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
- Your compensation package will also include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay, and benefits.
