We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive, Men's East Coast to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving sales, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with retailers and wholesale partners.
As the Account Executive, you will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and achieving sales targets by leveraging your industry expertise and network.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth within assigned territories/accounts by identifying new business opportunities and managing existing relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for top-tier accounts, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and customer retention. Regularly meet with clients to review performance and discuss future growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new accounts, expand within existing accounts, and introduce DL1961’s product lines to new markets.
- Conduct compelling product presentations and seasonal line launches to showcase DL1961’s collections and drive sales. Act as a brand ambassador to ensure alignment with the brand’s values and positioning.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to leadership, track key performance indicators, and monitor the success of product launches and promotional activities.
- Work closely with the marketing, production and design teams to ensure that client needs are met, and products are delivered on time and in alignment with market demand.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market shifts to continuously identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
- Attend trade shows, sales meetings, and in-person visits to maintain strong relationships with current clients and to prospect new accounts.
- 50-70% travel is required in this role.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of experience in wholesale sales, preferably in the fashion, apparel, or denim industries.
- Proven success in managing and growing accounts, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape, including buyer relationships, trends, and negotiation strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build lasting relationships.
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player, collaborating across functions and regions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in sales management tools and MS Office.
- A passion for the fashion industry, particularly denim, sustainability and innovation.
