At Scope Zero, we created a new employee benefit, the Carbon Savings Account® (CSA); think health savings account (HSA), but for home technology and personal transportation upgrades. CSA upgrades can save the average US home over $5,000 per year. The CSA platform measures and reports carbon emission reductions that accelerate corporate sustainability goals. Our platform links employees, employers, and partner vendors to decarbonize the residential and personal transportation sectors - areas that have historically been difficult to decarbonize.
We are looking for a Founding Account Executive to work closely with our co-founder & CEO, Chief of Staff, and marketing team to accelerate our go-to-market efforts. You will build on our existing founder-led sales to help grow our sales efforts and reach targeted accounts.
Key areas of focus for this role include
- Full-cycle B2B benefits sales, including lead identification and prospecting, outreach campaigns, and conducting meetings and demos
- Partner with CEO to refine and track sales process
- Collaborate with marketing and design teammates to build and test sales collateral and enablement materials
An ideal candidate would have
- 4+ years experience in B2B sales roles
- Full-cycle sales experience in an early-stage startup
- Based in the New York City (preferred) or San Francisco areas

- Direct experience selling voluntary employee benefits to companies with 2,000 or more employees
- Passion for decarbonizing the built environment
Salary and equity considered together as a package. OTE for this role is $135-170k. Benefits include health insurance (premiums fully paid for employee), 401(k) with matching, and a CSA.
